Badminton Teams Event Gold Goes to Macau at Arafura Games 2009

The team from Macau proved too strong for the competition in the teams Badminton event at Arafura Games 2009 today.
Macau won the gold medal with a superior performance over silver medallists New Caledonia with the bronze going to Singapore Police.
Macau proved their dominance by winning all of their ties throughout the tournament.
The next series of Badminton events is the Individual events which see the main seeds coming from Macau in the single, doubles and mixed doubles.
Individual events will start Wednesday at 4:00pm with the finals will commencing from 5:00pm on Friday afternoon.
