Close Finish Expected in Women’s Golf

A close finish is expected this afternoon in the Arafura Games Women’s Open at the Darwin Golf Club.
With 18 holes to play, three Australians were in contention. Bree Arthur was leading with eight over par 224 from Ashlee Dewhurst 225, and Ebony Heard 226.
In the men’s event, Justin Roach, of Australia, started the day six strokes ahead of the field level with par after rounds of 75, 71, 70.
The men are playing for the Peter Thompson trophy which will be presented by the golfing champion at 7 o’clock tonight.
