Queensland Cyclist Wins Gold in Female Criterium Today at Arafura Games 2009

Mackay cyclist Gillian McMinn won the elite female Criterium this morning at the Arafura Games 2009.

The fast-paced cycle race started at 9:00am and followed a course through the city of Darwin and past scores of spectators who cheered the riders as they passed.

The silver medal was taken by NT’s Rebecca Thyne and the bronze went to Tasmania cyclist Kristan Hoppitt.
