Samoan Weightlifter Breaks Oceania and Commonwealth Records at Arafura Games 2009 Friday Afternoon

At the Arafura Games 2009 Weightlifting competition today in Darwin, Eli Opeloge of Samoa broke the Oceania and Commonwealth weightlifting record.
The record was 269kg and Ms Opeloge lifted 277kg.
On her second lift in the Women’s 75kg+ snatch, Ms Opeloge lifted 120kgs equalling the record.
Only a few minutes later she lifted 123kg in the snatch.
She then lifted 154kg in the clean and jerk, beating the 151kg record.
