Athletes from around the world are invited to participate in Arafura Games. To be eligible for participation in the Arafura Games a competitor must fit within the eligibility guidelines.
Thousands of athletes and officials from around the world will come to Darwin to take part in this unique multi-cultural sporting event held every two years.
Opening Ceremony: Rehearsals are being held for the purpose of finding and developing suitable assistants/performers for the entertainment segments of the Opening Ceremony. Open to people, aged 10 years or more and who are keen to participate in a large scale and exciting event, the rehearsals are being held over the School Term / Easter break (8-13 April) with guest choreographer, Trevor Green. Further rehearsals will scheduled closer to the Opening Ceremony which happens on 9 May. Potential performers who were unable to audition in February are encouraged to call and leave message for Peter on 89205517 (BH) or email peter.stretton@nt.gov.au and arrange to join rehearsals in April and be a part of something very special.
