Shooting - Pistol ISSF (International Sport Shooting Federation) General Information

Competition Dates: 7 - 13 May

Competition Details:

The 2011 Arafura Games ISSF Pistol competition returns to its roots, targeting the developing shooter offering male and female Junior and Open shooters the opportunity to test their skill over numerous ISSF and NRA events.

Eligibility/Entry Standards:

This event is not targeted at the Master shooter, with all competitors permitted a maximum score of 575 achieved in all events over the past 12 months. Evidence must be provided with registration.

IMPORTANT: Athletes are responsible for completing their application for an International Visitors Permit prior to your arrival in Australia.  An Information Sheet and Application Form can be downloaded by visiting the Rules and Regulations section of this website.

Endorsement:

All teams/athletes must be endorsed by the relevant International/National Federation. Registration will not be finalised and accepted until endorsement is received. Endorsement information is provided at time of registration and should be gained by the appropriate organisation prior to registering any athletes to ensure there are no delays in the process.

Managers Meeting:

A pre-competition Managers Meeting will be held prior to the event commencing. All Team Managers are expected to attend this meeting.

Further information will be provided closer to the Games.

Medal Ceremony:

Medal Ceremony schedules will be provided closer to the event. It is expected that all medal winners will be in full team attire in order to receive their medals. The Organising Committee reserves the right to refuse an athlete participation in a ceremony should they not be appropriately attired.
