Volleyball Venue

Competition Venue:

The 2011 Volleyball competition will again be held in the thick of the action at Marrara Indoor Stadium.

The heart of Marrara Sporting Complex and hosting Arafura Central on the front lawns, the air-conditioned, air thrust parquetry sports flooring stadium boasts seating capacity of 972, change rooms, media booths, officials room and a First Aid room.

Marrara Indoor Stadium is surrounded by many other Games venues and will allow spectators to take in the action of Boxing, Muay Thai, Basketball and Sepak Takraw to name just a few.

Training Venue:

Teams will be allocated training sessions prior to competition commencing at Marrara Indoor Stadium. Where required, teams may also be allocated sessions at the adjacent Darwin Basketball Stadium. Training at the Games venues will not be possible during the week however the Sports Coordinator may be able to assist you to source suitable alternate training venues if necessary. Transport to Venue:

Athletes will be able to access free of charge transport to the venue via the Arafura Games Bus Service which will operate between accommodation houses and Games venues. The Bus Service will drop off at Arafura Central and the doorstep to Marrara Indoor Stadium.
